Born in Harlem, 1996

 

Gifted with an immaculate eye for visually pleasing imagery, Aviolah Joseph has been an avid lover of photography since she was 10 years old. With her eyes set on a camcorder in a Toys-R-Us catalog, weeks before Christmas day, who knew the Christmas of 2006 would be the one to spark her life's purpose. 

 

 

Nearly a decade later, after witnessing her work displayed in the Studio Museum in Harlem, alongside her favorite photography by James Van DerZee the passion to continue creating beautiful imagery became unbearable.
